A Call to Consecration in the 1st week of 2022 [1st-7th January]

The Lord has urged us to call His people in Malaysia to arise and come together to fast, pray and seek Him corporately for 24 hours each day from 1st – 7th January.

Many of you have signed in to anchor these prayer slots and we invite all of you to join us in these 7 days of day and night prayers. Every night from 8pm – 10pm, we have invited some men of God in Malaysia to share to us. On 4th – 6th January, Pr James Kawalya from Uganda will be sharing a series on “Healing the Land” and we will end on 7th January with consecration and Holy Communion.

Please share this to all you know so that the church can come into a powerful alignment in 2022.

How can we seek Him as we enter 2022?

 “Arise and Shine”

Isaiah 60

1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples,

but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

This is a year God is calling His church to move out of slumber into action – to Arise and Shine, even more as we see darkness comes to our land. The key lies in the church.

Ephesians 1:20-23 (MSG)

“Christ is in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the centre of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with His presence.”

Let us now pray for the church to arise and shine by coming into maturity, so that Christ can speak and act through His church. This is the year the Lord will pour out the Holy Spirit to mature the church, turning believers from sheep into royal war horses fit for the King of Kings and ready for the day of battle.

Together we will be like warriors in battle, trampling our enemies into the mud of the streets. Together we will fight because the Lord is with us and we will put the enemies’ horsemen to shame. (Zechariah 10: 1-5)

This is going to be the move of God in 2022. Let us now pray for …..

  1. Pray for God’s church to ARISE TO KNOW HIM BETTER (Eph 1:17-19)
  • Almighty Lord we stand at the beginning of this year to ask that You will give us a fresh new spirit of wisdom and revelation to know You better. We are not satisfied with yesterday’s knowledge of You. We want to grow in intimacy with You so that we will then be able to firmly resist all the power and tricks of the enemy. (Daniel 11: 32)
  • Lord, we ask that the eyes of our hearts will be focused and clear, so that we can see exactly what it is You are calling us to do. We pray that we can see and hear clearly and will obey You in all You ask and not be deceived into going astray and wandering away from Your eternal plans.
  • Lord, we pray that we walk in Your will so that Your kingdom and Your will can be done in our Nation through our walk of obedience.

  1. Pray for God’s church to be EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Luke 24:48-49

48 “You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

  • Lord, we thank You that we are called to be witnesses of the gospel. We thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit that will enable us to be effective witnesses so that nothing is done by our own might or power but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Strengthen us O Lord, and empower us with inner strength through Your Holy Spirit (Eph 3:16).
  • Convict us O Lord, of our sinful ways that put us out of alignment to Your will and purpose. Teach us to yield to the Holy Spirit and to give no room to the flesh.
  • Teach us to obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit so that the works of God can be manifested in our churches and in our nation, and men’s faith will now rest on the demonstration of God’s power.

  1. Pray for God’s church to -ARISE AND SHINE TOGETHER

Luke 10:2

He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

  • Lord, we thank You that You are breaking us from that spirit of complacency. We ask You to send us out as labourers into the harvest field that is now ripe unto harvest. We do not want to delay any more. Move your church this year out of its comfort zone.
  • As we move out into the communities, grant us a spirit of wisdom and authority to bring peace, healing and restoration everywhere we go.
  • We ask for spiritual authority to cast out demons and to heal the sick.
  • We ask for favour from the governing authorities so that we can become effective in the midst of the situations that You call us into.
  • Lord, unite all of us from our different churches and denominations so that all will see us as one.
  • Give us all a common vision for Your glory and a common desire to see Your kingdom come upon Malaysia.
  • Place us in strategic settings according to our different giftings. May we stir each other towards love and good works, so that the glory of God can shine into the darkness and the great plans You have for Malaysia will be fulfilled.

Now Lord, we declare that our God can do anything, we know—far more than we could ever imagine or guess or request in our wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Glory to God in the church!

Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!

Glory down all the generations!

Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!  (Ephesians 3:20-21 MSG)

May God arise and His enemies be scattered! In Jesus’ Name we pray, amen.
