PRAYER FOR CRITICAL EVENT IN OUR NATION

This week, set aside time, daily, to stand in the gap for:

  1. Putrajaya – For wisdom to handle the worsening pandemic, health of our Prime Minister.
  2. Parliament – To prioritize the well-being of all, to be proactive to stop corruption, to put an end to all forms of racism.
  3. Poor – For the many efforts undertaken by society to alleviate their hardship.
  4. Pastors, All who are in Ministry and their families – Praying a special covering over them in this season.

Father Lord, as our nation goes through crisis, we take our stand together to bless our nation so that the blessings that flow from the Cross will break the power of every curse that the enemy uses against us.

1. PUTRAJAYA

  • We bless You, O Lord and we welcome Your Presence into our nation. May all the enemies of Malaysia be scattered and the mountains melt like wax at the Presence of the Lord.
  • Bless us O Lord, as we stand together against the forces of darkness that try to cause chaos, disorder and instability.
  • We bless Malaysia with peace, order and stability as Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

2. PANDEMIC

  • In the Name of Jesus, we rebuke the curse of death and disease from our nation and in Your mercy, deliver Malaysia O Lord, from Covid 19.
  • Bless us O Lord, with an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, so that as we stand together to pray for the sick, the depressed and the dying, we will see healing, deliverance and miracles.
  • Bless O Lord, the frontliners with mental, physical and emotional strength in the fight against Covid 19. We bless their families too; and the MOH with much needed wisdom, supplies and help in the management of the crisis.

3. PARLIAMENT

  • We bless all political leaders right now to be set free from curses that dull their minds and corrupt their hearts.
  • We bless them with the fear of God that they will be filled with wisdom to reject racism, extremism and the lust for power.
  • We bless them with common sense and a common desire to work together on that which is good for the ‘rakyat’.

4. POOR

  • Bless every community effort to help the poor. May this season also tear down walls of racial, economic and social divide.
  • Bless all the churches with Spirit-inspired strategies as we arise to meet the needs of the poor, the sick and the dying.
  • Bless every act of kindness so that the church will be a city on a hill whose light cannot be hidden.
  • Bless the church with favour as it works alongside NGOs, government departments and other organizations so that there will be a powerful spirit of unity to achieve desired goals.

5. PASTORS & CHURCH LEADERS

  • We bless our churches to overflow with love, joy and peace, breaking every spirit of heaviness and despair.
  • We bless our pastors and all in leadership with Your firewall of protection around their families, homes and their ministries.
  • May our pastors and leaders dwell in the shelter of the Most High and in the shadow of the Almighty.
  • We declare that no harm shall come upon them and no disaster shall come near them.
  • You will be their strength, their shield and their strong tower.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, AMEN.

Psalm 75 (NLT)

1 We thank you, O God!
We give thanks because you are near.
People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.

2 God says, “At the time I have planned,
I will bring justice against the wicked.

3 When the earth quakes and its people live in turmoil,
I am the one who keeps its foundations firm. Interlude

4 “I warned the proud, ‘Stop your boasting!’
I told the wicked, ‘Don’t raise your fists!

5 Don’t raise your fists in defiance at the heavens
or speak with such arrogance.’”

6 For no one on earth—from east or west,
or even from the wilderness—
should raise a defiant fist.

7 It is God alone who judges;
he decides who will rise and who will fall.

8 For the Lord holds a cup in his hand
that is full of foaming wine mixed with spices.
He pours out the wine in judgment,
and all the wicked must drink it,
draining it to the dregs.

9 But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done;
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked,
but I will increase the power of the godly.”
